Colorectal health encompasses a wide range of conditions affecting the colon, rectum, and anus, with common issues including faecal incontinence, haemorrhoids, and the need for precise diagnostics. Accurate diagnostics are crucial in colorectal health for identifying underlying causes of symptoms and guiding effective treatment plans. These can include a range of devices from simple scopes to advanced imaging technologies.
Recognising the critical nature of these conditions and the need for effective treatments, MSA New Zealand provides a cutting-edge portfolio of colorectal devices to support New Zealand clinicians in their pursuit of improved patient care.
Please consult product labels and inserts for indications, intended purposes/uses and, where relevant, the associated contraindications, hazards, warnings, precautions, limitations, adverse effects, and directions/instructions for use.
Haemorrhoids
THD Doppler
The THD Doppler Method was born with the aim of enabling accurate identification of the terminal branches of the superior rectal artery and ligate them.
The THD Doppler procedure offers reliable efficacy in achieving haemorrhoidal dearterialisation, thanks to effective ligation of the arteries leading to successful reduction in arterial hyperflow.
Diagnostics
Light-Scope ANO
The THD® Light-Scope ANO LED anoscope offers the highest quality of illumination in the THD anoscope range thanks to a reflective end tip that diffuses light evenly for better visibility of the inspected area. THD® Light-Scope ANO LED has an atraumatic profile and is available with either a Truncated or Bevelled tip.
Light-Scope RECTO
The self-illuminating THD rectoscopes are single-use devices for inspecting the anorectal canal and the distal region of the sigmoid colon.
Made of medical-grade polycarbonate, they incorporate powerful cold-light LED illumination, thus eliminating the risk of overheating. The LED light is switched on by pulling out the practical removable tab and provides optimal illumination of the inspected area. The special tip also allows for uniform light diffusion. The integrated 4x magnifier enlarges the view of the inspected area by 4 times for greater diagnostic accuracy.
THD Anopress
THD Anopress is an innovative portable anorectal manometer that overcomes many of the limitations associated with traditional anal manometry. THD Anopress allows to correlate the collected data to the patient’s symptoms in a simple and fast way, making standardised and replicable pressure values immediately available.
In this way, the specialist performing the exam can immediately evaluate the results and associate them with different pathological conditions. The association between the results of the manometry and specific colorectal diseases is based on the interpretation of a curve that describes the sphincter activity at different times.
The THD Anopress portable system consists of an anorectal manometer with dedicated software and single-use probes specially developed for use with the THD Anopress manometer.
Endoanal Ultrasound
Transanal ultrasound is a fundamental exam for the anatomical and functional evaluation of the sphincter complex and for the diagnosis of numerous anorectal diseases. Endoanal ultrasound has in fact numerous clinical recommendations and is particularly useful for the diagnosis and the correct evaluation of; dysfunctional disorders, inflammatory diseases, and neoplasms of the anal canal.
High Resolution Anoscopy
High-Resolution Anoscopy is one of the most effective and accurate examinations for the screening of intraepithelial neoplastic anal lesions. However, a colposcope is not always available in colorectal centres: many centres do not perform this test precisely because of the limitations related to the equipment.
THD® Proctostation and its HRA module offer a possible solution to the limitations associated with the use of other technologies. THD® Proctostation with HRA module is a compact instrument capable of providing high-resolution videos and images of the anal canal. This is made possible by the combination of a high-resolution video camera with an all-in-one touchscreen PC and dedicated software.
THD Digital Mobile
THD® Digital Mobile is a compact portable tool that combines a state-of-the-art laptop with a camera (THD® Mini CAM HD). The evolution of the examination under vision with images and videos allows the clinician to objectify and highlight the presence of any anorectal diseases.
THD Procto Mobile
THD® Digital Mobile is a compact portable tool that combines a state-of-the-art laptop with a camera (THD® Mini CAM HD). The evolution of the examination under vision with images and videos allows the clinician to objectify and highlight the presence of any anorectal diseases.
HR Station
The ultimate system for the screening and treatment of precancerous lesions of the anus.
THD HRStation is the first and only specific system for diagnosing and treating precancerous lesions of the anus. THD HRStation is a system that is able to supply high-resolution videos and images (4K) of the anal canal and the perianal area through the combination of a 4K video camera with a very high-performance WorkStation and dedicated software. The disposable THD® Light-Scope Procto HRA proctoscope complements the THD® HRStation by eliminating the need for an external light source. The large side windows on the camera connection give easy access to the area under examination for biopsies and ablative treatments.
THD N-Ano
THD® N-Ano anoscopes are indicated for inspection of the anus and for the execution of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
THD Surgy
THD® Surgy Mini and THD® Surgy Maxi are sterile surgical anoscopes indicated for numerous proctological procedures. THD® Surgy Maxi is ideal for performing proctological procedures in both day hospital and surgical settings. THD® Surgy Mini offers the same advantages and applications as THD® Surgy Maxi with smaller dimensions to allow for an easier introduction of the device.
Faecal Incontinence
GateKeeper
The THD GateKeeper® surgical device consists of an implant system called Delivery System and of 6 Dispensers containing an equal number of self-expanding sterile prostheses.
Each dispenser is equipped with a cannula for inserting the implants in the intersphincteric space. The THD Gatekeeper® sterile implants are inserted between the internal and external anal sphincter through the specific Delivery System.
Delivery System and Dispenser, in combination with the EAUS Module for verifying the correct positioning of the prosthesis, allow performing the surgical procedure THD GateKeeper® without the need for additional equipment.
SphinKeeper
The THD SphinKeeper® surgical device consists of an implant system called Delivery System and of 10 Dispensers containing an equal number of self-expanding sterile prostheses.
Each dispenser is equipped with a cannula for inserting the prostheses in the intersphincteric space. The THD SphinKeeper® sterile prostheses are inserted between the internal and external anal sphincter by means of the specific Delivery System.
Delivery System and Dispenser, in combination with the EAUS Module for verifying the correct positioning of the prosthesis, allows for performing the surgical procedure THD Sphinkeeper® without the need for additional equipment.
